Applications are now closed for our 2017/18 23-week courses. However, we do have a number of courses running in semester two only (Introductory, Conversation), for which people can apply from the beginning of November onwards. We also allow a certain number of enrolments onto the second half of our full year courses in January, depending on level and availability.

Follow the steps below to apply:

  1. Complete the relevant online application form below.
    If you prefer, you can also enrol in person at the LEAP Office, WG11 (west wing, ground floor) of the Samuel Alexander building. 

    • Members of the Public (ALL Languages)
      It is no longer possible to enrol online. Subject to availability and level, enrolments may be accepted up to the end of week 2, 6th October. For enquiries, please email

    • Current students and staff (German and Dutch ONLY):
      It is no longer possible to apply online for a German or Dutch course. DUTCH BEGINNERS IS NOW FULL. From Monday 25 September please go to Room WG11 in the Samuel Alexander building to enrol. Places are subject to availability and you may be asked to complete an online assessment

    • Current students and staff (all languages EXCEPT German and Dutch):
      Enrolment for semester two courses is now open:

    • Tandem course only: Tandem enrolment is now closed.

  2. You will receive an email confirming there is space available on your chosen course, with a link for online payment (if relevant).
  3. Once payment has been received, your place will be confirmed and you can attend the classes.
  4. Complete IT sign-up and student registration (including staff members), if you are not already registered as a student.

Classes have already started – is it too late to apply?

We prefer all students to start courses in week one of a course, but exceptions may be made if places are still available and level allows.

We also offer places - dependent on availability and language level - on the second half of our standard 23-week courses in semester two. Please contact us for further information.
