Description

This is a course in business English which covers the preparation required for the *BEC exams at Vantage level. It covers the four skills required for successful completion of this external examination; students who so wish may be entered for the examination in December and May, and at various examination centres worldwide.

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students will have reached the required standard of Business English in reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, necessary for a pass in the BEC examinations. (B2 in CEF).

Transferable skills

Business English skills required for work in a commercial or industrial environment.

Teaching and learning methods

One 3 hour seminar per week, plus individual tutorials prior to the end of course assessment.

Assessment

An equally weighted (25%) reading, writing, listening and speaking assessment in the form of a BEC exam.
