Course description

This course complements the general aspects of academic writing covered in Semester 1 – but if you didn't come in Semester 1, don’t worry.  The first three workshops aim to help you write the chapters of a typical dissertation.  You will learn more about what is required in each chapter by reading and analysing extracts of academic texts.  You will also have the chance to improve your language and writing by completing carefully-targeted practice activities.  The final workshop focuses on your writing - you will submit your text to peer review from your classmates.
